19th – 24th November 2024
Galerie ISA is delighted to participate in the 2024 edition of Abu Dhabi Art, presenting dynamic works by a remarkable group of global talents: Diana Al-Hadid, Vipeksha Gupta, Gregor Hildebrandt, Idris Khan, Prasad KP, Ian Malhotra, Eeman Masood, and Annie Morris.
Diana Al-Hadid’s paintings bring together a complex medley of technique, history, and perspective, traversing cultural frameworks and exploring scale. Vipeksha Gupta, a Delhibased artist, presents highly stratified works that use layering to explore deep meditations on consciousness, resulting in paintings with a distinctive luminosity. Gregor Hildebrandt’s signature style lies in creating complex montages with cassette tapes as a medium, while also referencing cinema and culture to evoke memories and associations. Idris Khan’s work draws from a diversity of sources—including art, music, and history—and is universally recognized for his characteristic repetition and layering.
Prasad KP’s practice focuses on harmony with the natural world, as seen in his bucolic watercolor landscapes of Kerala, where hidden characters and human figures reflect the vanishing of folklore, mythology, and tradition. Ian Malhotra’s detailed landscapes reflect our technology-focused reality, drawing from classic compositions but filtered through a digital lens.
Eeman Masood pushes the boundaries of classic landscape painting through cinematic layering, collages, and color blocking. Finally, Annie Morris’s totemic “Stack” sculptures add levity, joy, and vitality with their jewel tones and gravity-defying forms. is diverse portfolio embodies Galerie ISA’s mission: to provide a platform for artists from varied cultures, oeuvres, and traditions.
